I was going through the explore page on Instagram, seeing lots of beautiful pictures, pictures of your favorite celebs here and there and almost all our celebrities are getting curvy miraculously, maybe that is what happens when you become a celeb...or am I wrong? Their 'new looks' is definitely going to mess with majority of their Fan's minds, especially young females who look up to them.
Truth is a curvy woman is typically attractive to the ordinary eye, lots of vendors are out there selling creams and pills, just to satisfy bodily cravings, claiming they make you look curvy and all. Very few of them may work, while others won't. Other's who have money get surgery or really expensive injections to achieve the look of their dreams. If you invest time and money into these things, you won't have enough time to discover your true self.
Jokes apart it's a trend that is getting quite irritating, it just shows almost all celebs are very insecure about something so irrelevant, Toke makinwa grew hips overnight in New York, Annie idibia probably grew hers when she was sleeping..who knows, Ese Eriata fell sick and recovered with a very tiny waist. Our 'celebrities' these days are so insecure about how they look.

Thankfully Tonto Dikeh was very open about her insecurities and surgery. The actress gave a controversial shout out to her her doctors on her Instagram page.

Obviously it's their life , but once you make it big before the public eye, automatically you're a role model to someone, to lots of people. Young girls out there who follow the likes of Annie Idibia would think gaining hips and big bums is the ultimate solution to all their problems. Not trying to compare, majority of the American celebs who have probably gone under the knife or had injections to change their looks comes clean after these procedures. Unlike here in Nigeria, celebs deceiving themselves with workout posts. If you see a person with flat tummy, hips and all who actually worked out for it, you will know.
The bitter truth is , you may look at yourself today and feel you don't like it, then you go ahead to RE-TOUCH yourself, and you get really excited about how you look after surgery, injections, pills and all. Tomorrow comes and you decide you don't like what you look like anymore and you go ahead to touch up, it won't stop there. It would go on and on till you deeply regret what you have done to yourself. As a woman, you don't need to be curvy to look attractive. Stop trying to change yourself if the world won't change itself for you.
You are beautiful in your own way, God did not make a mistake when He created you, if He thought you would need extra large boobs and bum trust me He would have given them to you. It is not from the hot water that was used to 'press' you when you were born. Loving yourself is the first step to self discovery. Let insecurities not be the order of our day, LOVE YOURSELF!
Feel free to air your opinion.
P.S I love all the ladies I have mentioned, especially Toke Makinwa, she's a definition of a strong woman.
